Clement Francis Crowley (1907)
Clem was the Honorable Clement Francis Crowley (d. 1962). Clem is only listed as “Crowley” in the 1908 Albionian photograph of the 1906 football team, and then no place else – not in any yearbooks, not even in student directories. The Pleiad mentioned that “Crowley” scored the winning touchdown in the game against Adrian. (Editor's note- The postcard shown on the Men's Football page was sent right after that game.) Clement Crowley went on to become a Denver, Colorado attorney and State Representative, serving nine terms in the Colorado House of Representatives in the offices of floor speaker, speaker pro tem, and chairman of the rules committee. He resigned his House seat in 1951 to become Assistant Regional Attorney for the Office of Price Stabilization.
