Editor's note- Eclectic and Atheniaedes was a forerunner to the social fraternities and sororities on campus today. "E & A" was founded from a merger of the men's Eclectic society with the women's Atheniaedes society. After 80 years on campus "E & A" was disbanded in 1928.
